My name is Karen Haugan Tomlinson. In 2014 I started Greentree Pottery studio in the lower level of my home, after moving to Lake Oswego from Denver. While living in Denver I enjoyed a 20 year career teaching ceramics as well as drawing and painting.

The studio started with four wheels, a skutt 1227 kiln, and a slab roller. Greentree Art Studio has expanded to seven wheels and two large work tables, as the number of students has grown. We have built a relationship with Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation ,where you will find Greentree classes and summer camps listed in their catalog. We have a wonderful group of teachers, in addition to myself, sharing their expertise with students of all ages.

Some personal career highlights have been selling 450 sake sets on the Etsy platform from 2017-2022. One of which was part of a kitchen scene in season three of Succession. In 2025 I was fortunate to be chosen to throw pots,in a collaboration with Nike, for display in London stores on Kings Road and in Selfridges. In 2025 I joined the board of the Lake Oswego Council of the Arts. My ceramic work can be purchased @ www.naturestudy.studio.

It has been wonderful to get to meet and share my love of pottery with so many in the community of Lake Oswego and beyond.
